Faculty Profile: Robin Warsh – Boston College School of Social Work

What I bring to the classroom is a combination
of clinical practice with academic knowledge of clinical social work. I apply trauma informed thinking, I am always
looking for and listening to early relational wounds that have us believing in adulthood
that I am bad, I am shameful, I am inadequate. And, I teach students to look for those shameful
beliefs and to practice methodology for healing those beliefs that plague adults in their
work relationships as well as their personal relationships. During many of my classes I actually do role
plays and demonstrate what clinical practice looks like, what good practice sounds like. Students will either play one of their clients
that they are having difficulty with or they will actually play themselves and I will demonstrate
how we bring healing to people who are suffering.
